Free Community Yoga

For Teens, Adults and Seniors, including Persons with Special Needs and Disabilities

February 1 - April 13, 2024

Join us for a 10-week series of free community yoga dance classes! Three weekly classes to choose from: a down-on-the-yoga-mat multi-level flow class, an accessible chair yoga dance class modified for people with disabilities, and a yoga for special needs class practiced on thick padded mats for extra cushioning and comfort. Come create calm in your body, mind and spirit, then go out and share it with our community!

This program is open to all on a first-come, first-served basis.

Who should sign up: Teens, Adults and Seniors, including Persons with Special Needs and Disabilities.

3 weekly classes to choose from:

  • Thursdays, 5:30 - 6:45 PM, Yoga for Special Needs

  • Saturdays, 10:15 - 11:15 AM, Yoga Dance Flow

  • Saturdays, 11:45 AM - 12:45 PM, Accessible Yoga: Chair Yoga Dance for Disabilities

Other Class details: Once the maximum number of registrations have been received, a wait-list will be started. We ask that if you register and cannot make it that you let us know with 24 hours notice so that we may give the spot to someone else. Excessive late cancellations will result in you not being able to sign up for future classes. Please check KMA’s calendar to see any changes to the schedule. These classes are offered for free to anyone in the community, and a donation basket will be available should you wish to help support KMA’s mission.

Location: Clinton Cameo Studios, 307 West 43rd St. (just west of 8th Ave in Manhattan). Check sign on door designating which studio — A or B — we are in on that day and press the appropriate buzzer.

Cost: Free (donations gladly accepted)
